Meet Mister Kit, a curious wooden cat of many contrasts: He is at once a passive observer, a discerning philosopher, and a formidable presence. He is obviously cultured yet intrinsically feral. He swings wildly between melancholy and exuberance like a defective metronome. He projects an air of indifference, but his actions reveal deep fixations. And incredibly, instead of becoming numbed and neutered by the meaninglessness of an absurd world, he simply feels everything all the more.
While at first it may seem that all is well for Mister Kit and his exceptionally close companion, the situation is actually far more complex. And so, in typical Mister Kit fashion, things quickly take a turn for the bizarre. Season 3 serves up this defective yet charming character’s appetite for dominance and an anomalous proclivity for bravado against the profound backdrop of his existential dread and visceral mood swings. But by the end, we are finally treated to some subtle signs of progress. Let’s just hope that sticks, for Mister Kit.
